FAQs
People often wonder if their problems are "serious enough" for therapy. The truth is, therapy can help with a wide range of concerns, from daily stress to trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship struggles. If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or not yourself, therapy could be beneficial.
Finding a therapist who fits your needs is crucial. People ask about therapist specialties, credentials, and therapeutic approaches (e.g., CBT, EMDR, psychodynamic). Many also choose a therapist based on personal factors like gender, age, or cultural background.
Therapy is a personal journey, and the timeline for progress looks different for everyone. Some people start feeling better after just a few sessions, while others benefit from ongoing support over months or even years. The length of therapy depends on factors like your goals, the challenges you're facing, and how actively you engage in the process.
Many clients notice small but meaningful changes early on—like increased self-awareness, better coping skills, or a shift in perspective. Deeper, long-lasting transformation often takes time, as healing and personal growth unfold at their own pace.
During your first sessions, we’ll discuss your unique needs and expectations to help set a realistic timeline. Whether you're looking for short-term guidance or long-term support, therapy moves at a pace that works for you.
My standard rate is $300 per 50-minute session. However, I offer a sliding scale down to $150 per session for clients with financial need, as I believe therapy should be accessible to those who need it.

If you’re using insurance, I recommend checking with your provider to confirm your coverage, copays, and any out-of-pocket costs. If you’re paying out-of-pocket, I can provide a superbill for potential reimbursement through your insurance.
If cost is a concern, please reach out—we can discuss options to make therapy work for you.
